Hold Me Tight Couples Retreat Agreement

Retreat Location: Imiloa, Costa Rica

Retreat Dates: February 11- 16, 2025

We all are bored by legal documents, yet to appease our attorney, we said we would have an agreement. We attempted to keep it as simple as possible. With this done, we can do what we enjoy doing.

1. Introduction

This Agreement is made between Dalia Anderman, the Retreat Organizer, and “Participant(s).” This document sets forth the terms under which Participants agree to engage in the Hold Me Tight Couples Retreat.

2. Retreat Description

The Hold Me Tight Couples Retreat is designed to enhance intimacy, understanding, and connection between partners through guided sessions, activities, and shared experiences in a supportive environment.

3. Fees and Payment

The total fee for participation in the Retreat is per couple. This fee covers accommodation, meals, workshop materials, and all retreat activities. Fees are payable upon registration and are non-refundable except as provided in the Cancellation Policy below.

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.
  • After paying the deposit, the remaining balance is due as follows:
    • 50% of the remaining balance is due 90 days before the retreat, by November 12, 2024.
    • The final 50% of the balance is due 60 days before the retreat, by December 12, 2024.

For registrations made on or after these dates: The appropriate payment amount (either the 50% or 100% balance) is due immediately upon registration.

4. Conduct

Participants agree to conduct themselves in a manner that is conducive to the creation of a safe and positive retreat environment. Disruptive behavior, harassment, or misuse of property will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the retreat without a refund.

5. Intellectual Property

All materials, content, and branding associated with the retreat are the property of the Presenter and/or the Retreat Organizer. Participants may not use, copy, record, alter, or distribute any of this material without the express written permission of the Presenter.

6. Health and Safety

Participants are responsible for their own health and well-being during the Retreat and must inform the Retreat Organizer of any health issues that may affect their participation. Participants must comply with all local health guidelines and regulations.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

  • Participants agree to respect the privacy and confidentiality of fellow Participants. Personal experiences shared during the retreat are confidential and should not be disclosed outside the retreat.
  • The Presenter and Organizer commit to maintaining the confidentiality of Participant information, except as required by law.

8. Cancellation Policy

  • More than 90 days before the retreat: You will receive a full refund minus the non-refundable 20% deposit.
  • Between 90 and 61 days before the retreat: You will receive a 50% refund of any payments made (minus the deposit).
  • 60 days or less before the retreat: No refunds will be issued due to contractual commitments with Imiloa, which does not offer refunds or transfers.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case all fees will be refunded in full.

9. Disclaimer

The Retreat Organizer and Presenter make no warranties or guarantees regarding the outcome of participating in the Hold Me TightÒ Couples Retreat. The sessions and activities are provided as tools for enhancing personal and relational understanding and are not a substitute for professional therapy or medical advice. Participants should consider their personal circumstances and possibly seek professional advice before attending the retreat.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Retreat Organizer and Presenter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your participation in the retreat;
  • Unauthorized access to, alteration of, or the deletion, destruction, damage, or loss of, your personal information or other data.
  • Participants agree that the total liability of the Retreat Organizer and Presenter for any claims under these terms, including for any implied warranties, is limited to the amount you paid us to participate in the Retreat.

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, the Participants and the Presenter agree to seek resolution through mediation before pursuing any legal action.

12. Purchase

Any amount applied to the purchase of the Hold Me Tight Couples Retreat is seen as agreeing to the terms of this agreement.

13. Miscellaneous

This Agreement represents the entire agreement between the Participants and the Presenter. Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.

By completing your deposit and payment, you acknowledge the following responsibilities:

  1. Travel Arrangements: You are responsible for arranging your travel to and from San Jose, Costa Rica, airport. Please ensure you have appropriate travel insurance and that your travel documents are in order.
  2. Health & Safety: It is your responsibility to inform us of any health concerns or requirements before attending. We encourage you to consult with your healthcare provider to confirm you are ready for a retreat experience that may involve physical and emotional activities.
  3. Retreat Etiquette: This retreat is designed to create a safe and supportive environment for all participants. We expect all guests to respect the retreat schedule, adhere to guidelines, and foster a positive group dynamic.
