In Person,
Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop
Nevada City, California · July 9-10, 2022
Dear readers, colleagues, and friends,
Many of you have been inquiring and waiting for our next Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop. Well, our in person, couples retreat is coming to Nevada City CA in July 2022!!!
This pandemic has been a long time of uncertainty, fear, isolation, shut down, and other struggles. Many of you have written to us about our Connection in time of Isolation webinar and have shared how helpful it was during the lock down to have new ways to connect and communicate with your partners.
As a therapist, I have witnessed how much stress couples have endured during these hard last few years. Whether economics, child care, lack of alone time, or intimate space, or just the stress of the uncertainty, many of us have pushed the limits of our relationships.
Our Hold Me Tight® couples workshops are an intimate and safe place where couples can find the opportunity to open up to each other in a vulnerable way about the changes they long for in their relationship.

With the workshop’s strong, safe, well designed, and practiced structure, you will be able to open up to your partner and to your relationship. Together, you will explore and understand the barriers to the love, care, intimacy, and sexual sacredness that you once shared and both long for.
In these Workshops, you can:
• Forgive old injuries and heal wounds of abandonment, rejection, and betrayal.
• Access the underlying emotions in the negative cycle you get caught in over and over.
• Revisit past events that have become unresolved issues, and create change events.
• Talk about sex, intimacy, and what is blocking you from living your full sexual potential.
• Create rituals and talk about how to maintain the breakthroughs of the weekend.
We Invite and Welcome all Couples!

What is included in the workshop?
• A workbook full of information, education, guidance, and helpful exercises.
• Engaging presentations, video demonstrations of other real life couples, communication and experiential exercises, and the opportunity for many private exercises and conversations with your partner.
• Owen Marcus and Dalia Anderman will be available to give you personal time, support, and guidance as needed throughout the weekend.
• An amazing opportunity to take a time-out from your rushed life, for your sacred intimacy!!!
• We provide continental breakfast, coffee, fruit, tea and healthy light snacks throughout the day.
What’s not included.
• Lunch is on your own. Please feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks as well (We are located in Grass Valley near cafes, restaurant and delis).
• Accommodation is not included in the cost of the weekend. Some couples find it a unique opportunity to make the weekend into a retreat. There are a lot of sweet unique Airbnb’s and hotels in our beautiful town. We will be happy to share some suggestions with you.

Nature has no ‘option’, as spring arrives, it burst out in renewing energy through buds, flowers, vines and brunches, birds and bees. It ALL comes alive. It is with amazement that I watch spring burst into action with it’s mighty green and all other colors. Nature has no hesitation, even where fires have destroyed the land, spring is showing up to cover the blackened earth, to seal the wounds, and to repair with hope.
“Yes. Spring is here, no question.. the flowers are bursting with colors, the poppies are flaming the hillside, the bees and hummingbirds and all kind of bugs, are humming in frenzy, the sacred

Though at times I will refer to sex as ‘Sacred Energy eXchange‘, and that it is, that elixir of love, that potion of passion and desire, that magic that lift us, it can all too soon become the source of pain,
Many of us baby boomers are still in the hold of the guilt and shame and secrecy of the ‘joy of sex’. We painstakingly learned to accept that we are sexual beings. As our generation grew up, we started to read and write books about ‘

So how do we maintain that magic even after those months or even the years, of the ‘honeymoon phase’ of a relationship, start to fade? Can that original powerful magic be sustainable? One of the toughest issues I face with my clients, couples or singles, is when that alluring elixir of love, that potent sexual energy ecstasy and desire is no longer there. We panic, we fall ‘out of love’, we become heart broken. Even if we are in a secure relationship and at the best of cases, we can talk about it, and even make it to therapy, it is still a loss that need to be attended to. Can we rescue it, rekindle it’s magic? As a couples therapist I say that this is a one of those ‘issues’ that bring couples into the therapy office.

We are in the times of leaving behind shame and guilt and embrace ourselves as sexual beings, full with desire, and sexual energy. We are willing to admit and embrace that SEX can be complex, difficult, beautiful, magical, painful, it is all of the above. It is the ‘agony’ and the ‘ecstasy.’
If you would like to explore your own obstacles to reaching your full potential for sexual fulfillment and learn how to talk about sex with your partner, consider
And for those of you who spring brings the wish for a renewal of your relationship, and wanting to take ‘the risk to open and blossom’, we are offering our next Hold Me Tight workshop, Saturday and Sunday, June 8-9, 2019, in Nevada City CA.
Though I lead this workshop regularly, it’s always a renewed, compelling experience for me to facilitate, witness, and hold space for the vulnerable reaching that occurs between partners during the workshop. At our Hold Me Tight couples workshop, in a safe, intimate, private setting, we hold space for couples to become vulnerable and open to explore, experience, touch and talk through issues that have been untouched. It is time set aside to have these conversations that have been waiting for a long time to happen.
• address negative cycle patterns, and learn why they show up, and how to get out of them
• learn how to repair and forgive injuries, and become vulnerable with each other
• enhance your emotional, physical, and sexual closeness and INTIMACY
